Communications office is seeking reader feedback

By Thomas Monahan
Conference Director of Communications

Greetings from the Conference office! I’m blessed and honored to be your new communications director. You may have noticed that we added the Methodist cross and flame, plus our tag line of “open hearts, open minds, open doors” to the banner on the front of the paper. That is just the first of what I hope will be many meaningful changes to the United Methodist Witness. Coming next month, the Witness will be printed all in color and on nicer paper. Thankfully, color printing costs have gone down in recent years, which have enabled us to make this change. We hope you will enjoy this new look. With this new beginning, it gives us an opportunity to examine everything we do with the Witness. Now I’m not believer in fixing something that is not broken, and the Witness is far from being broken. However I think there are things we can do better. But I want to hear from you, the readers of the Witness.
What do you like? What do you not like? What types of stories would you like to see? What kinds of information would you like to see?
So please e-mail me and at umcenter@umcswtx.org and let me know your thoughts, good and bad. I look forward to this opportunity to hear from the readers of the Witness.
